Moolooloo Station Bathroom Renovations
Across Country Construction (ACC) recently completed renovation works at Moolooloo Station, refurbishing both the Manager's House Main Bathroom and the School House Bathroom, to deliver modern and functional spaces designed to withstand the demands of remote station living.
At the manager's residence the existing bathroom was fully demolished and reconfigured, combining the separate toilet into the main bathroom to create a more practical and spacious layout. During demolition, significant water damage and calcium build-up caused by the station's water supply were uncovered, requiring structural floor repairs, replacement wall sheeting, new plumbing fixtures and upgraded floor support beams before the new fit-out could commence. The completed bathroom now features a contemporary layout with a relocated shower, new bathtub and quality finishes throughout.
The School House also underwent a complete bathroom refurbishment after ongoing water leaks, calcium build-up and an inefficient layout had reduced the functionality of the space. The bathroom was stripped back to its shell before extensive structural, plumbing and concrete cutting works were undertaken to relocate services and construct a new dedicated toilet room. The new layout provides a more practical design for a shared living environment while delivering a durable, modern facility built for long-term use.
These projects demonstrate ACC's ability to deliver high-quality refurbishment works in remote locations, combining thoughtful design, skilled workmanship and careful project coordination to improve the longevity, functionality and liveability of essential station infrastructure.
